Charity Running Information
Freedom’s Run wants to help your organization raise money through healthy activity.
Freedom’s Run is community-focused event and our mission is for people to live an active healthier lifestyle. In the creation of this
event, our design was to allow groups to use their own specific motivation to get people training and get them across the finish line.
So if your non-profit organization (501 C3) would like to organize a team to raise funds and get healthier, we want to help.
How to create a team
If your organization is a non-profit or government entity such as an elementary school, you can create a team. The larger the team,
the larger the opportunity there is for your organization. It is a good idea to think big when creating a team. Husbands, wives, kids,
grandkids, other family, and friends can all participate for your team. Once we have been notified your organization would like to
create a team, you can build the team through our website. The online race application will allow members to indicate that they are
a member of a specific team. Runners registered already can affiliate also.
Once your team is created, Chris Amores, a committee member of Freedom’s Run, will help your organization prepare for its campaign.
Chris has extensive experience in fundraising and running, so will help your organization tailor a plan for its needs. Donors will
be able to send money in via the mail or online. Freedom’s Run website will allow your donors to search for a specific team member
and make a secure online, PayPal donation. All donations will be tax deductible.
Chris will be available for your organization’s kick off meetings and as an ongoing adviser to your organization during the campaign.
“I truly think some organizations are going to knock the ball out the park. Because we are a walking/running event, people who have
not been active can set a challenging goal that can be as short as a mile.” Chris states. Herein lies the motive of Freedom’s Run,
to get those who don’t normally challenge themselves physically to find something that motivates them to train and become healthier.
Our hope is that a person who started out walking the 1 mile in 2010, walks or runs the 5k distance in 2011. In 2009 we had an 80
year old who did the 1 mile!
The physical challenge of a 1mile, 5k 10k, 13.1 mile or the 26.2 mile event are demanding. The committee members and the volunteers
of Freedom’s Run offer you to join our weekly community runs. This is where you meet other local runners or walkers who have set Freedom’s
Run goals. Look for our local Fun Run times and places on the website and stay tuned as we will be adding more Fun Run times and places.
So please contact Chris to help your organizations prepare not only to raise money but get healthier.
